Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Large Animal Technician with experience in artificial insemination and palpationThe successful candidate will play a crucial role in the business, working with dairy and beef cattle to optimize client satisfactionThis position requires hands-on experience in artificial insemination techniques and palpation skills to ensure the health and successful reproduction of our client's operations.

Responsibilities:
Artificial Insemination:
Conduct artificial insemination procedures on large animals, ensuring precision and adherence to established protocols.
Monitor reproductive cycles and synchronize estrus to optimize breeding efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of breeding activities, including dates, techniques used, and outcomes.
Palpation:
Perform regular palpation examinations to assess the reproductive health of large animals.
Identify and diagnose reproductive issues, including pregnancy detection and monitoring fetal development.
Collaborate with veterinary professionals to address and treat reproductive health concerns.
Data Collection and Documentation:
Document and maintain comprehensive records of all breeding activities and health assessments.
Collect and analyze data to identify trends, improve breeding outcomes, and contribute to research initiatives.
Animal Care:
Provide general care for large animals, including feeding and monitoringAbility to handle cattle safelyAbility to administer vaccines and medicationsCollaborate with veterinary staff to address any health issues promptly.
Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of artificial insemination and palpation equipment.
Regularly inspect and clean equipment to prevent contamination and ensure accuracy.
Assisting veterinarians Operate hand-held device to track and entry herd check progress and resultsAssist veterinarian with hormone and/or vaccine injectionsAssist veterinarian with palpation services Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members, including veterinarians and support staffEffective and timely communication
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or related field and experience.
Proven experience in large animal handling, artificial insemination, and palpation.
Strong understanding of reproductive physiology in large animals.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in executing breeding procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Physical fitness and agility to handle large animals safely.
Strong computer skills, specifically with Microsoft ExcelAbility to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

Preferred
Qualifications:
